Lubricating oil is used for the parts of the movement of a mechanical watch so that each part can move smoothly. If this lubricating oil deteriorates due to moisture contained in the air inside the watch or water vapor diffused inside the watch, it will adversely affect the accuracy of the mechanical watch.
