The story of this model dates back to 1983.

At that time, mechanical watches weren't mainstream, and ultra-thin quartz watches were extremely popular. In the history of watches, mechanical watches were on the verge of decline during the period called the Quartz Shock. Meanwhile, Breitling made a very impressive and bold bet.

In 1984, a mechanical model was announced instead of quartz.

The result was a success and the watch became an icon of its time.
The trigger was the Chronomat Frecce Tricolori.

1983 Chronomat Frecce Tricolori

This model was developed and announced in 1983 in collaboration with the famous Italian Air Force aerobatic flight team, and became the origin of the current Chronomat. As a model to celebrate Breitling's 100th anniversary in a spectacular way since 1884, it gave the impression that the brand had regained the world-famous mechanical chronograph that it had built up to its original position.

It may be sold out early. The back side of the watch is see-through, and "ONE OF 250", which is limited to 250 pieces this time, is also engraved.

Like the regular model, the newly announced Chronomat can be replaced by unscrewing the rider tabs at the 15, 30 and 45 minute positions .

Normally, when the stopwatch is activated, the count up (1 second, 2 seconds, 3, 4, 5...) can be changed to the count down (59 seconds, 58 seconds, 57 seconds,...). increase.

It's nice to be able to rearrange freely depending on how you use it.
Of course, the machine inside is also Breitling's in-house developed and manufactured movement, so it has a 5-year warranty and Breitling's longest warranty period.

Afterwards, try to actually touch
Personally, I felt that it was easier to turn the crown.
There is a feeling that the crown can be firmly grasped when winding by hand or turning the date and hands.

Furthermore, the bracelet has been changed at a glance in terms of design. It is called a "Reuleaux bracelet" because it looks like a stack of tubular stainless steel.
This bracelet design is a revival visual of 1983 at that time, but the structure is completely different. It has evolved and revived.
