A legendary yachtsman who was one of the heroes who brought home the trophy from the United States at the 1995 America's Cup, and who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth after completing a circumnavigation of the world.

Died suddenly in 2001 while exploring the Amazon, he was an avid advocate for ocean conservation and conducted many surveys with his ship, named Seamaster, pictured left.

Nekton has named the new submarine Seamaster 2, in honor of the ship captained by Peter Blake.

The bezel is made of SS x ceramic x white enamel for the current model, and forged from grade 5 titanium for NEKTON.

It has the same special shape as the limited model released in 2018, which underwent a full model change.

Both are laser finished black ceramic.

While the current model is mainly polished, the NEKTON is mainly matte.

The date display is also omitted, and this is a different version of the movement used.

The caseback is meticulously engraved with a Nekton submarine bearing the name "Seamaster 2".

In addition, it is Omega's technology that guarantees 300m water resistance with a camera lens mount-like system called Naiad Lock instead of a screw back.

The movement is the automatic caliber 8806.

The difference from the normal model 8800 is the presence or absence of a date display.
