Let's take a closer look at the Chronomat B01 42!

The newly designed case is 42mm, and it feels like the size is getting closer to the compact era. It may also be related to the fact that the lag is sharper as it goes on. For the satin-finished case, only the corners are chamfered for movement.

When viewed from the side, the shape of the push button has changed. Like the early model, it's a plain push button instead of a screw-in type. There is a B logo at the end of the crown at 3 o'clock. It is not too sharp, and the balance with the push button is considered.

The regular model has a red center needle. It is the choice of the color like the pioneer of the chronograph. Luminous paint is applied to the hands of the in-dial, so the visibility is improved.

The movement is proudly equipped with the completely in-house developed and manufactured caliber "B01" that Breitling has been applying since 2009. This is where you get the best of modern Breitling.

The unique rotating bezel features a raised rider tab. Not only does it protect the glass, but it also makes it easier to operate the bezel. This rider tab, inspired by the initial model, is based on the idea that the 3 o'clock position and 9 o'clock position can be switched to "count up" and "count down".

This time, the most eye-catching Rouleaux bracelet with butterfly clasp, along with the signature rotating bezel with rider tabs, epitomize Breitling's modern retro style. It reproduces the original model, but there is a big difference. The number of parts for this Rouleau bracelet has increased significantly, realizing a solid feeling that is as comfortable as the weight of the case and comfortable to wear.

The new Chronomat celebrates an important period in Breitling's history and at the same time reflects a vision for the future. The new Chronomat for 2020 takes full advantage of the model's distinctive design elements and spirit while adding a modern twist to the original.

When the Chronomat was launched in 1984, it was hailed as the revival of Swiss mechanical watches. In the 1970s, quartz watches dominated the market, and mechanical watches almost disappeared. The Frecce Tricolori with the same name as this team, developed and announced in 1983 in collaboration with the Italian Air Force aerobatic team, is the source of everything. In addition, the birth of Chronomat is a spectacular celebration of Breitling's 100th anniversary, and the world of mechanical chronographs that the brand has built up to that point.
