The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Automatic Q9008170, which I told you about before, has arrived! The dial looks dark blue in the shooting environment, but the one that arrived this time is a black dial.

The simple 3-needle model " Polaris Automatic Q9008170 " in the collection. It has a sporty design and function, and it is on par with the Kumo brand Lugspo.

[My two favorite points]

The first is the " dial ".

The indexes 12, 3, 6, and 9 are arranged in a contrasting and well-balanced manner. The dial consists of three parts, the center part with a sunray finish, the index part with a satin finish, and the flange part with a matte finish. For this reason, there is no elongated feeling peculiar to 3 needles, and a rich effect is achieved.

The second is the " inner bezel ".

Unlike the rotating bezel of a general diver's watch, the flange on the outer circumference of the dial rotates. This structure makes the bezel thin and smart, contributing to the case thickness of 11.2 mm. The inner bezel can be used as a simple chronograph. Turn the crown at 2 o'clock and align the triangular marker on the inner bezel with the current minute hand position. The elapsed time can be seen by looking at the scale on the flange extending from the minute hand.

[Usage example of simple chronograph]

Assume that the current time is "10:08" . Turn the inner bezel to move the triangular marker to the "8 minute" position.

Time passed and at "10:23" . You can tell at a glance that 15 minutes have passed since 10:08 by looking at the inner bezel scale on the extension of the minute hand.

Since it is not a full-fledged diver's watch with a water resistance of 10 bar, each crown and back cover are non-screwed, and the inner bezel also operates in both directions.

In-house caliber 898E/1. Tungsten, which has a heavy specific gravity, is used to improve the rotation efficiency of the rotor.
